+ CHRISTMAS SHOPPE WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!

The proceeds for December’s Christmas Shoppe totaled :  $4,831.30!!

Half of the proceeds  ($2,415.65) has been earmarked for new Science Equipment and the

other half has been retained to stay in the PTL account for PTL/Assemblies.  Juli Benjamin is

   researching assembly possibilities.

Thank you to Julie Paulson, Amanda Rennert & their team: they have done a fabulous job of

  promoting this popular event!

Now we are need of new leadership for next year’s Christmas Shoppe.  Julie’s son is

graduating and Amanda is stepping down (but still available for consultation).  If you are

interested in coordinating the Christmas Shoppe – or being part of a Christmas Shoppe team –

and helping to keep this very successful and much-anticipated event for future students,

please contact the school office.

PPP HOURS:  Every family at Zion Lutheran School – including our Preschool and  PreKindergarten families – needs to work and record their Parent Participation Program (PPP) hours on Sycamore, our school management system.  If you need help with your Sycamore log-in, with recording your PPP hours or need ideas for how to earn those much-needed hours, please call the school office and we’ll direct you.  As a reminder: Preschool families need 10 hours per year, PreK families need 15 hours per year and Kindergarten through 8th grade need 30 hours per year.  At the end of the school year, your account WILL be charged $10 per hour for those hours not worked!

A Note from our cook Mrs. Jones:

We are finding that we have a lot of wasted pizza slices on Fridays!  Students are ordering two

slices but eating only one piece so the other piece is ending up in the trash.  Please talk to

your student about their pizza ordering and suggest to them that, since the slices are large,

one piece might be all that is needed to fill them up for lunch!  Thanks!

+ When you are out shopping, please keep an eye out for new items for Christmas Shoppe,

including wrapping paper, bags, tissue paper, and multiple items within the $2 to $6 range.
